Read & Write teaches by level, not by grade. A Grade 8 student can be Foundation in writing and Advanced in reading — and the path reflects exactly that.
A multi-section placement assessment covers reading, vocabulary, comprehension, grammar and a short writing task. Questions get harder while you keep getting them right, and ease off when you don't.
Your result sets a starting point for each skill separately. You never repeat what you already know, and you never start a level you aren't ready for.
Every skill runs Learn → Practice → Challenge → Mastery. Reading texts come with before, during and after reading work.
Repeat a weak skill, not a whole level. When a skill reaches mastery, the next step unlocks.
